The Preschool has been given a computer system with a desk, printer and educational software for the little darlings to get introduced into the world of the Information Age. A special THANK YOU goes out to Tim's Computer Shop of Sunbury, PA for their donation. The educational software that we will be using has also been donated by GCompris. A special THANK YOU goes out to Bruno Coudoin for the awesome program. We will utilize this software for years to come. You can also download this software for your own personal use at http://www.gcompris.net. GCompris is an educational software suite comprising of numerous activities for children aged 2 to 10. Some of the activities are game orientated, but nonetheless still educational. Below you can find a list of categories with some of the activities available in that category.  computer discovery: keyboard, mouse, different mouse gesture, ...
algebra: table memory, enumeration, double entry table, mirror image, ...
science: the canal lock, the water cycle, the submarine, electric simulation ...
geography: place the country on the map

other: learn to tell time, puzzle of famous paintings, vector drawing, cartoon making, ...
Currently GCompris offers in excess of 100 activities and more are being developed. GCompris is free software, that means that you can adapt it to your own needs, improve it and, most importantly, share it with children everywhere. |

We're now taking applications for the '09 - '10 pre-school year. Students must be ages 3 or 4 years old by September 1st. and fully potty trained to attend class. We are going on our 17th year of teaching and caring. To get an application or for more information please call Ms. Linda at 837-2105. |
